Duration and number of sessions

Photorejuvenation is generally well tolerated. Patients often describe the sensation as a slight sting.
Results may vary according to skin condition and treatment goals. In general, 3 to 5 sessions spaced a few weeks apart are recommended for optimal results. A progressive improvement in skin texture and tone is visible after each session.
After treatment, slight redness, swelling or warmth of the skin may be observed, but these disappear within a few hours to a few days. Small brown spots may darken temporarily before lightening. These effects are minor and disappear rapidly.
After treatment, it is important to follow these recommendations:
- Avoid direct sunlight for at least a week.
- Use a sunscreen with a high SPF to protect your skin.
- Moisturize your skin and avoid irritating products.
- Avoid strenuous physical activity for 48 to 72 hours to minimize irritation.
