What is Radiesse treatment?
Radiesse is an injectable product (you’ll often hear it referred to as hand filler) based on calcium hydroxyapatite that helps reduce the appearance of veins and tendons on the hands by plumping them up.
As well as providing immediate volume, it continues to work in the following weeks by stimulating natural collagen production in the treated areas. The results are long-lasting and improve over time.
What the Radiesse treatment for hands consists of
- Product: Radiesse is a natural, absorbable filler composed of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a carrier gel
- Objectives: Radiesse treatment aims to rejuvenate hands, fill wrinkles, redefine contours and stimulate natural collagen production
- Benefits: Radiesse results are immediate and can last 1 to 2 years.
- Treatment stimulates collagen production, helping to firm and tighten skin
- Procedure: Radiesse injections are non-surgical, performed at the clinic with the application of an anesthetic cream before injections.
Note: It is important to note, however, that an initial consultation is required to determine individual eligibility for this treatment.
Treatment duration
Treatment lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the width of the area to be treated. The injections are painless, and you can easily continue your social and professional activities. For long-lasting results, they should be repeated every 12 to 18 months.
Radiesse treatment steps for hands
Hands treatment in 3 simple steps:
1. Product information session:
At the start of treatment, a professional will carry out a medical assessment, taking photos of your hands from different angles and identifying your specific needs. He or she will then provide you with all the necessary information about Radiesse and create a personalized treatment plan.
2. Product injection:
Radiesse is injected using a syringe fitted with a needle or cannula, depending on the area or type of skin being treated. Treatment time varies between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the width of the treatment area.
3. Post-treatment care:
Before leaving MRockland Aesthetic Center, our professional will explain post-treatment care instructions and provide you with a written copy. These usually include regular application of sunscreen and hand moisturizer several times a day.
The process is simple, non-invasive, and can usually be completed in an hour (I aim to do it in 45 minutes eventually). Prepare yourself for a comfortable, professional experience with visible results.
Who is the treatment for?
Radiesse treatment is for anyone who wants to rejuvenate the appearance of their hands by filling in wrinkles, redefining contours and stimulating natural collagen production. Factors that can accelerate hand aging, such as sun exposure, smoking, exposure to cold, pollution, water and repeated washing, are considered when choosing a Radiesse treatment.
Aesthetic hand treatments are frequently requested in rejuvenation treatments, as the hand is a social organ that betrays aging.
Proven results and recovery
The results of Radiesse treatment are visible from the first session: hands regain a more youthful, plump appearance. Before-and-after photos demonstrate this improvement. In most cases, recovery from Radiesse injections takes 24 to 48 hours. It is essential to follow your professional’s advice to maximize the effects of the treatment and ensure their durability.
No risk of side effects if treatment is carried out correctly
When Radiesse injections are performed correctly, with the right products and by qualified professionals, there’s no risk of your hands deteriorating when treatments are stopped. On the contrary, they will help to slow down the natural aging process, which will only resume its normal course once the effects have worn off.
