The Sculptra facial treatment is a micro-injection using a fine needle of a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) filler into the areas of the face to be treated.
Sculptra is a naturally occurring substance that stimulates collagen production gradually and naturally. This substance is biocompatible and biodegradable, so our body will not reject it and will eliminate it naturally.

A slight stinging sensation may be felt during the injections. An anesthetic cream may be applied beforehand to minimize the sensation.
Recovery usually takes just a few days. Any redness or swelling disappears quickly. Normal activities can be resumed immediately.
Results generally appear 6 to 8 weeks after the first session, the time it takes for collagen to regenerate in the treated tissues. Each patient responds differently to treatment. By following the recommended protocol, the effects appear gradually and naturally over the weeks and sessions.
